Violets

 

The color combination with violet and turquoise is perfect for spring. Despite that both colors are cool colors, the look is vibrant, warm and fun. I used to read a lot about color symbolism. I love the  blue for its calming and soothing effect and violet for its spirituality. Colors can be exciting ;)
Knowing me... that I don't like to stand out to much, I added a neutral beige color to give a slight earthy look. The day was very warm with a cold wind so I decided to add the pair of classic black leggings. At the end of the day nothing makes me feel as feminine as the pretty dress and high sandals.
For the make up I used the light beige eyeshadow with blue underline and black mascara. An orange lips are so trendy this summer so I give it a try ;) For nails I stick with the turquoise color and a splash of burgundy.

The rag rolled hair is a classic hairstyle. It holds inspiration from the past. The time when our grand-mothers didn't use curling irons to achieve the curly and bouncy hair. The main tools were pin curls and rag rolls and of course slightly damp hair. Fast, easy and no damage. I love seeing when old becomes new again... and trendy.

In today's fashion industry it's not only the hairstyles that keep coming back but most of all fashion. So girls... direction... grandma's old wardrobe and look for some  little treasures. My mom used to have so many pretty, vintage and floral dresses. And who would know it would be trendy again ;)

Fashion Lookbook: Three Floor S/S 2012

Three Floor Fashion brand is my new discovery. I have  posted my favorite images. Their fashion pieces have a contemporary feel with an eclectic twist. The latest collection is a beautiful blend of bright colors, neutrals, pastels and texture. What I found excited is the focus on edgy aesthetics of the accessories. Check out their website for more individual looks. The long, flowing, pleated dresses are simply gorgeous :)
